brucemyster 75
rabbits by the shed load down in sunny Kent, was out doing some flight lining for pigeons when my son spotted a few down the end of an old railway embankment (abandoned long ago in the age of steam) lined up on the closest and bang, when he walked up to collect he'd actually caught 4 in the shot pattern, some youngsters but gratefully received by the ferrets and a pat on the back from the farmer. Polkey 70
Moved into my current area about six month ago and hardly seen any but then I have only been out looking day time to see whats around. Only seen a few about and one with the worst case of mixy I ever seen, glad I found it poor thing. I have a new pup so wont be doing much with him until the back end of next season and hopefully see an improvement in population the season after. Spoke to a local guy that works a hawk and he told me that the season before last he saw his permissions wiped out in a couple of weeks and said it was VHD. Fingers crossed it don't take to long to recover! Im up north end of Co Durham! Quote Link to post
