B.P.R 2,798
tried rigging a traditiinal last night....but as i was pulling the cord through the loops i ran out of cord....and it slipped through all the top meshes....baastard! tried fixing it...though id done it....until when i ran the net out....and seen the cord had missed LOADS of the top meshes. thinking what i could do.... i took some inner strands of paracord and tied every mesh that was missed onto the topline....didnt look good....and after and hour of tying i had enough.... left it at that.... my ocd was pecking me all night....needed to fix it somehow! so ran the net out...and with a full roll of cord.....and the end tied to a large nail.... i painstakingly threaded the new cord through every one of the top meshes..... then colleced the net in.... and replaced the bottom with ease...by tying the new to the old and pulling it through. finished it and ran it out a few times....to give it a go....works a treat. used paracord as the head and footline....think it will be perfect for it. with thanks to smithie for the endpins... borderscot for the 'peg to peg' book... and albert 64 for the hazels poles.... cheers for all the advice too Quote Link to post

smithie 2,443
i cant believe how well the net looks after picking up. theres many a netter who puts nets away a lot less tidy its a good habbit to get in to as they only run out as well as there picked up Quote Link to post

There is absolutly nothing wrong with the way that net is set that will catch rabbits all day long. Great job. TC Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
read in the book...take small length onto the endpin... and it seems to have wrapped up nicely.... ran it out a few times....and it works a treat. very surprised how good it runs off the pins.... just need a 'bodkin'? needle to sort the loose end of cord out.... just tied it for now. thanks for the positive comments... can only get better.
