Hi guys I have not really posted in a while.
This is my new venture, fieldcrafter-uk.
This is my version of a "bush craft" knife but with a twist or two as I don’t know anyone that actually practices bush craft but I know loads of people that are outdoors folks or involved in field sports hence "fieldcrafter-uk"

It’s constructed from 5.8mm o1 tool steel
Professionally heat treated in Sheffield to hrc 57-59
Laser engraved and hand finished in every other way each one is subtly different.
They have what I call "raw steel finish" which is actually a process and means that it’s totally practical as a working tool rather than a show boat.
it has a sabre grind rather than the standard scandi grind as I personally can’t get on with the true scandi grind and find it’s not a lot of use when doing tasks like field dressing a deer for example, so I’ve done the grind higher to get a finer cross section for what I believe is a better edge for the purpose of field craft
It’s totally over engineered so should last a very long time and some abuse in the field!!

Dimensions are.
9.5cm cutting edge and 12.5cm handle or 8 3/4" overall length in old money.
It takes 4 x 4mm pins and 1x8mm lanyard.

I have over 60 finished knives out there being used over the last 12 months. I have quite a few out with professional pest controller’s deer management stalkers and a lot of other folks involved in hunting shooting camping etc and there have been a good number of repeat customers (I think one guy has about 4 of them now)

i have had 3 or 4 of these over the last year or so, two i have kept and 2 have given away as presents, these knives are the real deal and represent excellent value for money. If you in the market for a top notch quality knife that will last a lifetime, then stick your hand in your pocket you wont be dissapointed.

I have three based on the same blade dimesions and a sabre grind, I think Matt used me as a guinea pig

Not only are the dimensions perfect, the edge is just right, not too fine so as to chip but fine enough to get a real fine cut

and a quick zip with a steel see it back to where it was

These are £100 all day long up and finished so £40 is a real bargain

Thanks fellas they cost me well over £20 each before grinding and polishing . Your getting free post and pins/lanyard for your £40 and they combined are probably worth £8

So as you can see it really is rock bottom price .

Anyone that got them before at the old price got an incredible deal one I can't offer again !!!

I'm sure some folks don't want the hassle of finishing it them selves , but as soon as the materials arrive that's what will be on offer !
