Tried loads of ways to curb him and all failed. Lamping him was a nightmare, and if it wasn't for the fact he was so fast, I'd have gone home empty handed every session lol. By the way, he was 2 when I got him and didn't have the proper history of him, oh yeah, and he'd take down sheep quicker than a dog 2 or 3 times his weight lol, never again Quote Link to post

pip1968 2,490
i never stop my dogs from using their nose as i hunt day and night but start them lamping first as it stops them hunting up after a run.but of a daytime they just find their own runs by marking bushes and ferns Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
I love watching a dog work a reed bed, using its nose, then stopping and marking a clump, rushing in, and coming out with a bunny. 1 Quote Link to post
