how do you carry your kill's

Recommended Posts

I have this all sussed out.........so follow my example..........be a shite shot........keep a kennel full of pot lickers........take all the wrong equipment fly fishing.......ferret massive places that one man should never attempt and watch them all bolt from the holes you cant cover.........learn terrierwork from Fellman...........sit on your arse all night on the PC talking about which is the best cross..........

That should keep the tally at about zero

When I ferreted rabbits, I got into the habbit of carrying a stick. Hock 'em and ye can generally carry a decent few that way. I've never liked putting 'game' in a bag, all laying on each other.

For 'Ground Vermin', from trapping, my jacket pockets usually suffice.

When I'm visiting a rat job; I always have a " Dog shit " bag (plastic, butchers bags) in each back pocket, as a matter of habit / discipline. I'm always grateful to find I remembered to 'stock up' when I find a dead rat. I mean; How the f*ck else ye going to carry a dead rat? :icon_eek: Beats carting a plastic bucket around, just for them. And, just the other day, the client gave me a lift home ..... I don't think he'd have cherished a bucket of dead rats in the foot well!

Yeah, I know, mate. I was being introspectively honest there. What I mean is I'm trying to make myself so disciplined to Always recharge my pockets, straight after using one, that it truly becomes a habit. Nothing more infuriating that not having one when ye need it. All the more so when ye realise ye own lazy mind is the cause :(

I leave ones ive caught when lamping at the gates into each field and collect them when i walk back. Then hock them and just use my hands, never have that many i need to thread them :D

Hock them the same when ferreting, either carry with my hands or they get put over the spade over Millets shoulder. Infact he will get them all to carry next time after calling me a dumper truck :feck::laugh:

MOLL.
