birddog 1,354
i know i've been having a laugh but and i've said it before on here...truth is as long as there is a lick of brains, a good nose and a bit of toughness breed / type is far less important than practise, i've seen shit hot labs, staffies and 57's, with probably the best a cross between a cocker and a collie and they all had one thing in common their owners were addicted to the game and out dailly Quote Link to post
BORDERSCOT 3,816
I had a whippet when I was 12...by the time I had reached my mid teens it no longer fulfilled my every and varied needs...good fun when I was a kid...got into heaps of bother with that wee dog... But things progress...maybe when I am in my dotage I will have another...and hopefuly will get into lots of bother... Cold comes to mind though...jesus it felt the cold...couldn't fault him in the guts stakes though...when I left home he stayed with my mum and dad and lived til he was 16... Quote Link to post

hillbilly boy 109
I would recommend getting him a Beddie x with the whippet you do have to be careful where you run them and at a young age that's not the sort of thing you think about you want to be out running them all the time and anyway you can and the Beddie x is a very robust pot filler Quote Link to post
