Cleanspade 3,322
TERRIER WHIPPET. just under 60 pound and 23 inch tts. a cracking ferretting general moocher. seems to bounce back from some nasty knocks with little or no damage. touch wood. ps. some nice workman like dogs on this thread. makes a nice change from the diluted whippets /greyhounds that are paraded as lurchers 3 Quote Link to post
Cleanspade 3,322
another pic. to me the first cross is a great animal if you want a robust dog. and if you desire a faster beast. a very good starting point for future plans. 2 Quote Link to post

Phil Lloyd 10,738
Some lovely, workmanlike dogs there lads.. I used to keep a much heavier, chunkier type of rabbiting lurcher, (bred from Cattle Dogs), and they served me well. Nowadays, I tend to use a racier, Greyhound/Collie/Whippet mix.. They are a bit more accident prone in woodland,..but we get by.... All the best, PL. Greyhound x Cattle Dog Edited June 2, 2013 by Phil Lloyd 4 Quote Link to post
fitchet 788
PH. Now thats a very nice sort, that is the exact type of thing i would love to put my coursing dog over. Judging by the background they work well in heavy cover ? Was working with a coursing man the last few days and we were saying how bad the stone is in some parts round here. Without the right type of dog they are un runable id say. Some nice dogs northernlite and tough terrain too. All the best. Edited June 2, 2013 by fitchet Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
Phil Could I ask why you changed the type of dog you keep and work. Or as I suppose there isn't a quick and simple answer.. LOL Quote Link to post
