if you are requested to live trap a fox by a landowner customer etc and they want it relocating or dispatching off site how do you transport them when out of the trap i take care off many foxes a year for all sorts of different people but this has never been a problem until now regards b

Shoot on site. Tell them this at the start. You need permission off the landowner to release them, can't see many people wanting more foxes on their land, round here anyway.

As Nod says, releasing foxes is immoral.

Either agree to do the job properly and dispatch the fox, or don't do it at all.

Explain the difficulties to the customer and make sure you include the biosecurity issues and the fact that the stress caused to the animal will be unacceptable, and if they still won't budge, walk away.

Stick the live trap in the van/ back of car and take it away or am i missing something?

As for telling the customer that you are shooting it from the start sometimes they dont need to know. Ive been asked loads of times not to kill the pest and always tell them i wont if thats their wish but often do anyway, especially squirrels. Ive even been asked to relocate mice believe it or not. The customer is happy if they think your going to relocate and often dont understand the problems/legalities of releasing/relocating certain species. In my opinion its best if they dont know.

Also could backfire though and lead to a lost perm. :(

Sadly, it's not illegal. The Abandonment of Animals Act was repealed.

I wouldn't lie to a customer personally, but I can understand why people do.

Whatever, just get em dead.

I wouldnt go putting it in a sack as been said, if for any reason you get pulled and you have a live fox in a bag

As has been said dispatch on site or transport in the cage trap with a cover over it.
