baw 4,360
Didn't think so you remind me of one of my mates, he comes first, never bends for nothing, stuck in his ways. Longest relationship he had was 18 months and that was only cos he got her pregnant. Lasted 3 months when the kid was born, couldn't hack not going to the pub and fitba with his mates every night. Not a bad thing, each to there own.......

gnasher16 30,256
Well Gnash, when you feel the need to free yourself of all your material needs I'm sure I can find space......... Wondered what you were up to recently, thought you might have been slumming it in the wilderness somewhere! Any info on the kenneled dogs mate? They look sorta 'houndy'? Amazing to think a dog bred how I imagine that dog to be living the life it is reasonably trouble free. Over here it'd be on the 10 O'clock news! Yes at a guess id say there was a mix of coonhound type and springer type in most of their dogs......they dont go in for fractions if the dog does its job it gets fed if it doesnt.....well.................thats what i liked there outlook on life is so basic.....the dogs will flush out and retrieve shot birds etc but its not season for it at the moment. This was another neighbors place.....they have this killer baby pot bellied pig thing just attacked everyone/thing in sight !......comes to something when a performance bred bulldog can roam free but the baby pig has to be chained up We also had a great 2 a side game of footie one of the days it was like being back on the estate as kids except now we have real goalposts and not jumpers.....best pitch i,ll ever play on ......The Cypriots certainly love their footie.
baw 4,360
Yea scot, lot to be said for it mate. My ex was like that, jealous as f**k, not that I gave her reason to be lol. I like a mixture of both. Woman can be domineering if you let them. I hate they way they try to change you. They were attracted to you the way you were but try and mould you into something different, boils my blood. Yes dear, I did hunt a lot before I met you and its not gonna f***ing change
forest of dean redneck 11,686
Looks like I built that, lol A old Romany said possessions grind you down an he's right, People worry about trying to better their neighbours and friends and family with shiny baubles Waste of money in my opinion, So long I got bit of cash a practical motor and set of tools for DIY maintenance on it ,I'm pretty happy ,
Born Hunter 17,787
Smart dogs, they don't look dissimilar to the houndy type dogs lads are breeding over here for knocking cover out for fox and deer. What's the hunting like durring the season? Mostly bird and rabbit or any larger game? Sorry to bug ya, but if you stick interesting pics up I can't help myself! f***ing attack pig! I'd pay to see that!

whippet 99 2,613
Could it be because of your commitment to being financially stable mate that now you can reap the rewards. I mean who really can decide just to go on holiday for a week and then just say "Aww i'm enjoying myself i'll make it a month" when they have jobs and so forth. I'm off the firm belief if i manage to put the graft in the now and get a few breaks along the way i can retire at an earlish age and enjoy my later years..... I dont really know mate i wasnt looking that deep......i just meant the feeling i got from owning a nice house or nice car( material things )............didnt compare to the feeling i got from the month i just had knobbing about in the open air which cost the price of a flight !..................Maybe our outlook changes the older we get i dont know....but im coming to the conclusion theres a lot of weight in the saying " the best things in life are free " the best things in life are free.................5 am this morning surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife .......deep breath of fresh air beats any feeling ive known and to catch anything just tops it off and is a bonus........good thread knash ..........it certainly brings you back to reality with some experiences..... I'd pay to see that! Both North and South hunting is a big tradition nearly everyone does it the biggest animal is probably Mouflon which is their national symbol thats been virtually hunted to extinction !.....But apart from hare/rabbit its mostly pheasant, chukka, quail etc.......You would never believe it looking around but they have a lot of jurisdiction rules and licences in terms of numbers but they are so relaxed they might as well not have them hence the dwindling numbers. The trapping of the songbirds is big business Ambelopoulia is a delicacy and the restaurants will pay top money and being only a slap on the wrist if they,re caught its tempting for many of the country folk. Certainly not bugging me mate im the same i find different cultures and lifestyles interesting as well
Born Hunter 17,787
That's interesting, sounds kinda like Britain 50 years ago. Very relaxed and everyone kinda gets on with their bit without too much state interference. I didn't know if they had anything like Spain or Italy where they have big game drives. As soon as I saw those hounds kenneled and that bulldog I thought 'Boar'! Gotta admit, I know jack shit about Cyprus, for all my knowledge on the place it could be an Island or mainland Europe or even Africa for that matter!
