FUJI 17,328
Cracking pictures again.. Bet it was a nice walk up there.. The Cannon was £200. I believe thats a really good price.. I only paid £ was the fuji.. I wanted the cannon but if I got it, I would be wanting different lenses. It all mounts up. I needed a new tyre, that stung us lol. I am waiting on USB cable from amazon then I can load some up.. Took a couple of hundread pics this morning Yeah, that is cheap for both cameras actually..I would love a decent lens but for the life of me unless your making dollar from your pics I can't really see the point of laying out a grand to take pics of dogs lol...it's great just "snapping" away and then loading the pics onto the pc to see if any are decent..I bet you will have some fun with the video on the Fuji when your out mooching about, the quality is excellent in both picture and audio...you"ll be addicted shortly lol..I ain't a clue about 99% of the settings,I just fiddle about and click..sometimes I'm lucky and more often than not the pics are bollox but so what? I've bought photo magazines by the hundred off eBay,bought books with supposedly childlike instructions on my cameras and they might aswell be in Chinese haha..just mess around and see what happens,if you need advice contact Paulus or Dytkos lol..Atb Andy 1 Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,328
I just took the pups on the beach earlier..I was dizzy just watching them running around lol..I took these pics just with a Canon 350d and a Sigma 100-300mm lens..not great but they do me..probably if I knew how to work the settings the pics would be better haha...I'm a slow learner :-( 3 Quote Link to post

Giro 2,648
I think your picture are really good.. Its them that's inspired me to get the camera lol.. I have always wanted one, but cost & priorities have also stopped me. Canny go wrong for £ and 3 months warranty. I am clueless, I have fiddled with mine and now its taking pictures at a snails place, it requires me to click ok after every picture its meant to be 4 frames per second. I think for a daytime wander camera is quite fun.. Will try the vid setting to.. Imagine would be good in a reed bed if you know the dog will flush on towards the camera.. What photo editing software do you use ?? I need a camera bag. I to don't want to get caught out in the rain, as you will know first hand, the Cumbrian weather can be a lottery 1 Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,328
eBay for everything Giro lol..I know Asda & also Aldi have camera bags in for sale at the moment if you can't wait? To have the camera taking several pics per second you have to have it on "continuous" I think it is called on the Fuji? Without looking I think it's on a small button on the top right somewhere? You will soon get the hang of it and like you say a bag is pretty essential up here lol..I usually fill mine with sarnies, crisps and biccies and put the camera round my neck :-) also not sure if you need a USB cable with yours? Mine does as it is an older camera but if yours has an SD card in just put that direct into your laptop and your good to go? Anyways,i find it's just trial & error or it is with me anyway, all this light, iso, aperture blah blah blah means not a jot to me...for dogs running, jumping etc I put mine on fastest ISO speed which is 1600 on mine, yours may be 3200? and that's me,either that or the sports setting automatically does it all for you..keep fiddling mate, you cant knacker anything ... I'm sure with where you lads mooch, ferret you will get some awesome footage with the video on it...have fun matey..I've worn two pairs of boots already since the turn of year haha, just bought two pair of Salomon boots & hiking shoes so I'll see how these go but 1st impressions I am quite impressed ...Atb Andy 1 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,328
great photos. How old are the pups now mate and how long have they been doing big long treks like that? They must have some stamina already! Cheers fella, pups are 8 month old gone the 2nd of June,I've had them on good treks from the day I got them to be honest, they've known nothing different,I just let them do their thing for now,if they want to run and play then I don't stop them,if they want to have a hunt then again I just let them..EVERYTHING to suit them in the main and at THEIR pace..these are the 1st coursing bred dogs I've ever owned so I may be fecking them up but I've had a wee bit of success with my cur types over the years with having a similar upbringing..would be a bit daft changing my routine of bringing on pups now after 30 odd year of doing not so bad? I'm quietly confident these guys will have wind and lots of it...time will tell I guess? 2 Quote Link to post
