Bushing Dog Section

I know this has been mentioned before but what are the chances of giving us a bushing dog section?

I love a good bushing dog and do alot of daytime mooching but never know where to put questions and posts. Sometimes the lurcher section seems best, sometimes the terrier section and sometimes the gundog section.

 

Come on mods - get us a bushing dog section! Please :-)

It,s been on the site suggestions section for ages , maybe because there wont be any macho bragging and childish challenges thrown out ,it not considered interesting enough.

Serious question, do you think a section like that would have much mileage ?......I mean there's only so much " fido bolted a rabbit out of a blackberry bush" type things you can write about......any mongrel can do it, there's not much special about it ( and I seriously don't mean to be a cock) it takes no particular skill or courage.......I fully get anyone who like just having a terrier beside them but I don't think it warrants a section

 

JMHO and I hope folk won't get to uptight about my view as I am not slagging anyone

 

With the current law as it is, even the lurcher section is very stale

Can't see how it'd be any less interesting than "Tyson dropped onto another 6 footer today, dug and humanely despatched" or "Lightening bagged the ton again last night".

 

I'd find it interesting being what I mainly do and find the best of sport personally.

Wilf your right any mongrel can do it , same as a lot of mongrels can catch rabbits and kill rats , but there is a difference between knocking the odd rabbit out and good efficient bushing , there is an endless discussion to be had concerning ,nose , size ,breed ,speed voice ,terrain ,obedience coat etc etc etc

Don't get me wrong mate, we used to have some cracking days with all the sport provided by a team of beaters and some tidy little terriers and spaniel/ terrier crosses......they can be seen in "dogs and Deer" by Darcy......one minute they are getting stuff out of cover, the next running a fox to ground etc etc etc.....so I am not coming at this from a narrow minded point of view...........but I don't think there was years of carefully managed breeding behind them either that would have put them up there with a very good working terrier.
