hi all,i have just picked up my cocker just over 8 weeks old. we have a good size garden which he loves, but we also have flower beds which he seems to like chewing when he gets chance. which plants are bad for the dog? I am always there to get any thing out of his mouth that should not be in there, but if i have any bad plants i would rather get them out of the garden while he is a puppy. thanks

My mate once lost a dog that had taken a liking to chewing the greenery,it was Ivy that caused her death, some poisonous plants to watch out for-,black and white bryony, buttercup, hemlock, deadly nightshade, meadow saffron and henbane, maybe unlikely that you will have any of these in your garden, but for anyone living in a rural setting with a garden backing onto a stream or similar you never know

Well it has nothing to do with dogs, but on the subject of dangerous plants over a week after repotting I've only just pulled the last of the barbed bloody spines out my hand/arm...

Don't try to catch a cacti you've dropped, just let it go man.....

Grapes are very poisonous

Some dogs love them and will eat off the vine  I used to have a dog that I used to take picking blackberries and he would eat off the bramble more than I could pick  he would try the same trick with vines as well.
