webster 90
went out this afternoon as were having a BBQ later so wanted some rabbit for the meal , afternoon shooting is kinda slim pickings on this shoot so i wasn't too hopeful . got to the shoot and the breeze was against me blowing my sent down the gully but theirs only one way in so i had no choice . i crept along the bottom of the gully and spied a group of kits running and playing so thought my luck was in after about 20 mins of stop start stalking i was about 35 yards away , now up until last month i never thought of shooting past my 25yard zero but after reading and watching certain members on heres exploits i have been slowly extending my range so the kits were in range , i settled down to wait and see if any bigger bunnys would come out .after about 10 mins a full grown adult appeared ,i took aim and over he rolled he is in the pic but hes well hidden . i waited another 15 mins but nothing big enough appeared so i moved on this part is where the farmer dumps all his branches which is a great place too sit and play pop the bunny as their are soo many places the come out of i spent about 20 mins here but nothing wanted to play so again i moved on this pic shows one of the pains of my shoot as their no bloody cover for a good bit of the stalk but i got most of the way up it doing really well then bloody bambi jumps out of nowhere and scares the crap out of me and all the rabbits so after that i thought bugger this and headed back to the car , on my way i spotted an adult rabbit hiding amongst some stones so crouched down and waited , out he hopped after no time at all and over he want with a 35 yard crouched shot after that i called it quits just stopped for a quick photo shoot of my 77 wearing her new clothes , shes now sporting a cs500 stock of unknown age with a bisley adjustable sholder plate and a hawke varmint scope . hers she is in all her glory with me dinner 1 Quote Link to post

bigmac 97kt 13,800
Nice shooting bud they can be taken down at longer distances just practice and it will come to you it all come,s down to having the confidence to apply a long distance shot and produce a clean kill and what your rifle is capable of and by the way loooooooove the rifle and it will shoot a lot farther than a lot of us are capable of achieving. i wud tell you of some of the shots i have dune mate and achieved a clean kill but i would just get slated or the lads would not bi-leave me even throw most of them were witnessed by members on here. nice wright up and photos atvbmac Quote Link to post
