After seeing several posts on here and FB of large amounts of trapped moles, i was just wondering what happens with the caught moles.

anyone use them for anything other than taxidermy??

not sure if id fancy eating them but wondered if anyone prepped them and minced them for the dogs (if possibe) or feed them to BOP / ferrets?

is catching them and diposing of them it or is there more use to them??

My neighbour is a pestie, reckons he heard of one bloke feeding one to a BoP and within a few days the bird was dead.. Not sure if that's true or not.. :hmm: Moles are venomous, but not sure if that would effect the meat though? :hmm:

My ferrets won't eat them.

Pigs do though.

My ferrets will eat the odd un,ive a Lakey that chews them up and eats them.Ive come across litters of Fox cubs with moles uneaten strewn around.I used to chuck them to Snowy and Eagle owls and they rarely ate them.
