Zoo Worker Mauled

Recommended Posts

Very tragic but I hope the tiger isnt PTS for this, it amazes me how people become complacent working with dangerous animals

RIP to the young lass and sympathy to her family but this didn't need to happen.

I would never go into any enclosure with a big cat, ive been up close with lions and to tell the truth some are docile creatures with humans and others only tolerate their keepers... Ive been up close and personal with a lioness in the gambia that was more like a domestic moggy in temperament and ive been a bit too close to a lioness that took an instant dislike to me and wanted to kill me on sight in blackpool zoo when i was on work experience feeding the big cats

poor girl what a shame,

as for animals that are bigger, more powerful and could easily kill you, feck that.

I wont get into a field if I spot a bull :icon_eek: im feared of the buggers.

a farmer near me was gored to death only 2-3 weeks ago.

Yes especially if you have a dog with you...that seems to cause quite a few deaths by cattle

What a shame, but WTF was she thinking? :(

I read a news article about it earlier where the owner of the park said the tiger won't be destroyed. It was a Sumatran tiger which had lived there for 10 years, ever since it was a cub. The staff were explicitly told and trained NOT to go into the enclosure while the tigers were in there..
