perthshire keeper 1,239
Aye four fingers is about right. Not into snares anymore although have done lots in the past. did you get many with your 4 finger high setting? Aye plenty........used it mainly on the entrance to the burrows. If on hedgreows maybe slightly higher depending on the ground. As for it being crap .....well opinions vary splendid............ Quote Link to post

bunnyboiler 1,053
Off topic I know, but before you go out snaring make sure you're familiar with re-tensioning them. Takes a bit of practice but easy enough once you've got the hang of it. Will save you time when out in the field if you're not already familiar with how to do it. Is there a nack to it I've recently got some pest controll of a farmer and wants rid of rabbits any way I can never used snares before after reading about it on here I decided to give it a go set the snares yesterday and went back last night one was snared out of 7 went back this morning and another two were snared couldn't for the life of me reset the loop is it just between your thumb and finger ATB Bunny Quote Link to post

bobcullen79 1,495
Ive not seen Glens dvd, but Woodga`s one is really good. Takes you through making tealers and snares right through to setting them. Glens snareing thread thats pinned is worth a read too. Quote Link to post
