reaper1064 285
The two Pakistani's arrested on the flight coming into the country tried to get into the cockpit half an hour before landing in Manchester. Could these so called British nationals be trying to go the same way of the 911 terrorists, by taking over a plane and crashing it into something news worthy? Jets were scrambled but then turned around. Should have shot it out of the sky to be sure.

mexlad 189
The woman they interviewed on sky news earlier said the pilot told them it was terrorists when they landed the plane and was safe as to not panic anyone, I think the media and government will try and cover this up so there's no backlash as tensions are already running high
Hob&Jill 258
Should have shot it out of the sky to be sure. How can you say that when you literally have no idea what went on on that flight?

How can you say that when you literally have no idea what went on on that flight? You have a point mate but the alternative could have been so much worse. It's lucky things have turned out as they did. What would everyone be saying if it had have crashed into a built up area and the chance to stop it hadn't been acted upon. Sometimes better safe than sorry.

Depends where it is, if its over a populated area then shooting it down would have the same effect. I see what you're saying, if the flight has been hijacked beyond reasonable doubt, and an opportunity to take it down over a safe area was there then it should, and probably would be taken. This case though is different, I'm sure they were in constant contact with the pilots as to what was happening, the plane was not hijacked therefore wasn't taken down. walshie 2,804
The cops say they are treating it as a "criminal" incident not terrorist. I wonder how long the powers that be think keeping us in the dark and feeding us bullshit will work? These were "British Nationals" too. Won't be long before we won't be able to go anywhere with British passports.
