BIGLURKS 874
Good working sheep dogs fetch a lot of money one dog on a sheep hill farm could be worth there weight in gold I know a few lads that spent up too £3000 for sheep dogs
BORDERSCOT 3,816
A decent working dog...gathering, driving on the hill and park and able to work sheep in and around buchts and lorries and at lambing time will be worth that...it certainly won't have been bought with breeding at the forefront of the owners mind... I paid £700 for a good dog away back in 1985 and I had him for 10 years and sold two or three for much more mid 90's. Seriously, even half decent working collies are fetching two or three grand...and a young dog showing promise will set you back £500 easily... Think this dog is USA bound...trials are big time popular across there... I paid £700 for the dog on the right of this old photo...I was only 19 in this pic...

If you can't see the hills it's raining, if you can see them then it's going to rain.
