Right from what I have seen On here the coursing lads (saluki men) run the show in this section if it ain't a saluki don't talk about it , but now I want you to tell me why this breed is so highly ranked in the uk as in my experience the common lurcher is more popularly used in Ireland ( collie , bull deerhound and whippet) So tell me why have these dogs taken over ,every topic the lurcher has saluki in them or its based about them ?:) just interested to know why everyone has one :) please add why u don't have one ? :)

Since you referred to coursing men then can you name a single lurcher coursing event that has been won by any lurcher with no saluki in its make up in the U.K.?

Not everyone on this forum holds the coursing dogs and hares in such a high regard

Plenty lads own other crosses hunt rats, rabbits and deer, fox before the ban

The hare, saluki coursing dog worshipers do seem to be more opinionated with a holier than thou attitude :hmm:

When I was a lot younger, I thought that likability determined whether something became popular or not ? . Take The Beatles, for example; they were popular because “everyone” liked them (according to my mam). The same could be said of Elvis (according, to my dad), hula hoops (according to my brothers), and maddona Like aVirgin (according to me,). Of course, this meant that if you did not like any of those things, you were hopelessly out of touch. Perhaps you were too old, too weird, too un-coordinated, or just un-cool; either way, something was wrong with you, because millions of fans cannot be wrong. this is why the salukis is best

From your opening post....." now I want you to tell me why this breed is so highly ranked in the uk"......did you want an honest answer or were you just trolling for an argument?
