hitman hilts 4
hi I have been granted a licence by natural England to bait and shoot muntjac at night with a shotgun (due to location and other factors )just wondered if the deer lick blocks or paste attract deer or are they just a food supplement , thanks mark Quote Link to post
j1985 1,984
I know they like apples, when they fall of the trees near me I can guarantee they will be there getting drunk of the mouldy ones!! Quote Link to post
fitchet 788
If your lamping them qny ditches that lead to cover will bring succes. In my experiance they dont like to venture qway from cover too much. Keep us posted on how you get on Quote Link to post

paulus 26
Not the easiest of things to do mate, They do have spots that they visit regular. scratching tress, crab apple trees when in fruit. they also have a strange habit of leaving cover when they come to a corner or junction in that cover, also look for runs under fences etc, they are creatures of habit like the fox. kranky 507
Apple juice cartons strapped to a tree with pin holes in them work well. Slow release and plenty of scent. If you put them all around the trunk at head height then plenty of scent gets out. Quote Link to post
Caprelous 217
Another good tip is peanut butter Cut the bottom off the container and screw the lid to a post and re screw the container back on it draws deer for miles. Quote Link to post
