cyclonebri1 8
Had this ruger 77/22 for 5 years now, it's always been a problem, wouldn't shoot a 6" group at 100 yrds and was at max elevation on the scope at 60yds Tried with 2 scopes, the same. added ruger to weaver dovetail mounts and the same. Gave up holding over, took out the action and barrel and floated the barrel. Now shot a further 3 inches lower, the tension on the stock forend was controlling the point of impact. Now shoots superbly, but has 10 thou under the rear mount and another 10 thou under the rear sight mount ( I have had several CZ/Bruno guns to try to divert the obvious) Quote Link to post
GEOFF.223 83
I have a 77/22 myself pal i got the burris to weaver converter and the small groves thats on the bottom that slots into the top of the receiver were to long had to file them down to get weaver adapters to sit flush. I visited all the yankee sites and tickled the trigger as detailed, it's now 100% better, but could still be improved, just don't want the cost of importing stuff at Ruger and present exchange rate prices Stronger bolt spring and weaker trigger spring fitted, supplied by Brownells, USA, bout £12 Worst thing about this is that the gun I have is the match version, heavy matt finished stainless barrel, laminated stock and supposedly a better trigger. The basic all weather synth stocked version was better out of the box to be honest. Edited May 30, 2013 by cyclonebri1 Quote Link to post

Mine's a wood version only bit i can really complain about is the trigger being real heavy going to file seers down and true spring Quote Link to post
