Tiercel 6,986
We were out fishing and it blew up, the waves were 20 ft hight and curling. We had 1000 yards of net out and it was stuck, so we had togo into the surf to fetch it. While we were hauling the net a wave caught us side on and turned the boat on it's side. I fell on the gunnels and the net bin and my mate fell on top of me. I could hear the crack as my ribs went. We still had about 750 yards of net to get in, the pain was unbelievable. We did manage to get it in then had to weave through the sand banks surfing down the waves then turning into them just before they broke. We got back to the trailer and I have never been so glad to see dry land!! That was the night I retired from fishing I was 49 and wanted to see 50. TC

Malt 379
Sprained a rib heaving a staircase into position once, that bloody hurt enough, thought I was having a heart attack! Giving me painkillers was about all they could do with me. They told me to remember to continue taking full breaths, even if it was a bit painfull, because if you don't, you risk developing pneumonia. That's the reason that no longer strap you up apparently..

Ratreeper 441
I either cracked a rib or something diabolical was going on somewhere, hurt to breathe deeply for a couple of weeks and I had a cough at the same time which was agony. Was alright after about 4-5 weeks though, but I swear i was so used to breathing shallowly I didn't breathe properly for several months after Just crack on mate, not much you can do except to try and not and get a cold
