Stormspiel 17
So after spending about 4 hours stripping and sorting my old supersport I thought id see what the old girl was pushing. Fastened the combro on and first shot she kicked like a mule, the combro jumped up and now has a pellet lodged in the back end. After opening the case its bust the rear LED and photodiode and a tiny part of the board. My question now then is this, is it junk or has anyone had theirs repaired? I've seen combro's website offers spares but the repairs section isn't working and there's no board as a spare part. Quote Link to post
deanothehunter 34
If you are ok with a screwdriver and soldering irons you'll have it looking brand new again in no time they sell all spare parts, and soldering even for a beginner is fairly easy ..... Deano Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
If you have a pellet stuck in the arse end of your Combro, you have a seriously under powered rifle! My combro went to dust after I fecked up putting the HW40 through it (about 2.5 ft/lbs) :oups: Drop them an email, it cost me something silly (less than a fiver) to send it off, have it repaired and sent back to me The customer service is excellent and they didn't charge me until it was fixed Tony Quote Link to post
Stormspiel 17
If you have a pellet stuck in the arse end of your Combro, you have a seriously under powered rifle! My combro went to dust after I fecked up putting the HW40 through it (about 2.5 ft/lbs) :oups: When I say lodged in the back, it went through the case and split into about 10 fragments inside after hitting the circuit board and tearing a small piece off it :/ I've sent an email to Combro so hopefully it's fixable. No chance I could do it though, far too small for my soldering skill level Quote Link to post
Stormspiel 17
Got an email back from Combro and been told sent it FREEPOST and include a £7.50!!!! cheque and all damage will be repaired, chrono calibrated and returned. Top company methinks 3 Quote Link to post
johnbaz 363
Yep! Pretty sure I paid £7.50 too when I murdered mine with an Airsporter! I centralised the combro with a cleaning rod then forgot to tighten the screw to hold it still! John 1 Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
yep, as already said, send it back to Combro, Robin is a great guy and will do all the necessary for £7.50 Darryl Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
I've read this thread and I can't help but think, that has to be one of the best levels of customer service I've ever seen. Those combros really are value for money if you can return them like that to be fixed. Alot of people I've spoken to say they are wildly inaccurate but I've always been impressed by their accurate readings for a product that doesn't cost the earth! 1 Quote Link to post
Stormspiel 17
Recieved an email from Chris and he's said that the Combro's had it but he's sending out a brand spanker for the £7.50 repair fee Again bloody awesome company Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
I've dealt with both Robin and Chris, Both are the type of gentlemen that you don't expect to find in this modern day and age! If only today's companies could follow their lead (Leed) however you want to spell it! Quote Link to post
moxy 617
That is excellent customer service. Glad your sorted and tbh trying to resolder something especially with a broken pcb would have been a nightmare. Quote Link to post
