Absolutely Gutted!!!

Recommended Posts

Was out in the garden and cleaning my stinkers out. They ave the run of the garden when im cleaning them out as its enclosed and they cant get out. Normal madness with them running around like lunatics, then i hear a lot of hissing from near the compost heap and then all hell breaks loose. A big fecking tom cat that the neighbor feeds along with about 20 other bloody cats full on with my jill. b*****d just killed my Jill. Totally gutted, i had prblems with her when i got her snapping all the time but spent a lot of time on her, getting her to be a very handleable stinker.

Im bloody raging, i know its partly my fault for letting them out but ive had words with the fella attracting all the local cats into his garden feeding the bloody cats......no joke he goes through 7 tins of food a day. And they were always crapping in my garden.....and now ive lost my little gal. He aint home but i think its probabaly in his favour that he's not. Im sick totally sick.

Cage trap and dispose of the bloody moggys

I would trap and dispatch humanely, especially the one that killed your ferret.   Shaking my head at the suggestions to poison with anti freeze, bleach or whatever, why would you want to deliberatel

some one let mine out last week, possibly thinking they were rabbits or guniea pigs, got my small jill back but the big hobs still on the loose.

sorry about the ferret, if it was me now i would make some kind cage just to put them in while you clean there other place out.As you not going to be keeping a eye on them, likes what just happened. If you dont it will happen again , if you (got) loose them in your garden you got to watch them. people will always keep cats, so do above or more could die.

Sorry to hear that mate.. :(

That's my biggest hate when it comes to cats, I've had many, many arguments with the wife and mother in law about it. I hate the way that's its accepted that they are going to be on someone's property whether the owner of that property wants them there or not.. You should be able to do what you want or have what you want on your own property without fear of someone else's pet coming in and doing damage..

Well ive learnt me lesson......but im looking for a way to deter the cats from coming in the garden i got a 7ft wall all around my rear garden and seen how they climb down the wall at the supporting parts so going to put some mesh up to stop them climbing down. May build a bit of a run so i can put them on the grass whilst cleaning out.

If any lads or lasses round the cork area hear of any stinkers up for grabs or coming up please let me know. Would like another one to keep my hob happy and get used to it before the season kicks off.....thanks.

Thats a shame for you fella..

I let mine charge about the garden when I clean them out...

Never had any cat trouble, they give mine a wide berth :whistling:

I would fed them cats a one final meal with tuna and few little extra seasonings ;)

i had a couple who used to live next door and they would do the same and they all would piss around in my garden and shit all over and would try to get in my hutches if i had give the ferrets rabbits or any blood, and they would drive my dogs mad in the kennel, luckily they moved away and took the cats

Think you can buy a device that let's out a high pitch squeal, to high for humans to hear, that hurts a cats ears, keeps them away in theory.... But I guess it could irritate the ferrets too.

We have a neighbour with a similar problem: feral cats in the field next door which some daft idiot comes and feeds all the time. He, my neighbour, regularly reduces their numbers by cage trapping them near his ferret hutches: and disposes of them quietly and discreetly. No one seems to notice their numbers going down
