ferretville 69
Not sure which locater set to get as i have read alot of different views on all three. All three have there plus points and there minus points the trouble is choosing the right one. Some swear by the old mk1 and mk2 but do not like the mk3. Now i`ve read alot of people say they now actually prefer the updated mk3. Any other views that i have not heard mentioned that could sway my thinking would be helpfull cheers folks. Guest Frank
Never used the MK 1 or 2, the old grey boxes, but have used the MK 3 , but seen a MK 1 working 2 weeks ago, spot on. Only problem being, when we came to a wire fence, it went haywire . The new MK 3, does not do this. Frank. Quote Link to post
gibby 0
I have recently upgraded from mk1 to mk3 but havent used it in the field yet but Im fairly chuffed so far. So I would have to say mk3. Quote Link to post
Herdsman 0
The MK1 was okay, but now to have it repaired you're talking lots of cash. The MK2 was rushed out before it was tried and tested and found to be completely useless as battery life was to short. The MK3 is fine, takes a little to get used to but does the job. I don't know if it still stands but originally Deben offered anyone that purchased the MK2 a free upgrade to MK3 standard. Quote Link to post
