IanS 3
I'm mulling over changing career after 19 years in the NHS nursing and considering moving into veterinary nursing but wandered if my hobby of shooting would count against me since you don't often hear of vets or vet nurse going shooting? LaraCroft 863
I'm a vet nurse, now doing A/E nursing as well - been hunting since early teens, and shooting from not much after that. Lots of Vets shoot, less hunt than I remember from years ago, but that could well be time constraints as much as anything. One of the vets I work with now, was point to pointing with me 15 years ago, and we still meet up hunting. I certainly can't see it counting against you .
Lab 10,979
I know a vet that shoots and trials Labs.
Outlaw Pete 2,224
A great many of them will deal with Farmers and various sporting stables. Killing shit is as much part of a vet's life as trying to keep it alive.

whippet 99 2,613
a vet should value what we do as there the ones who coin it in ,..............and with no working dogs there would be a big impact on turn over at vets
