Patterdale Pups At 10 Weeks

Recommended Posts

A few pics of my Patterdale bitch pups, they are now 10 weeks old weighing almost 6lb, purchased them from Oldham, from good stock, their dam was Nuttal/wheeler, sire was Nuttal. Pups are coming along great, learning basic training, but it is my first time with the Patterdales, If anyone with experience was to give me one good bit of advice when bringing them on - what would it be?

Will post more pics in a few weeks & keep y'all updated.

Wish me luck, best wishes Big Pat, Sheffield

they look well fella, as you said there your first terriers i think?

i would just let them be working bred terrier pups.... let them wrestle and pup play the bit out.... i would take the collars off them, me personally i dont like collars on dogs unless theyre going out... stops the worrying of them getting choked ...and theres many ways that could happen to pups... specially when exploring or trying to get out of runs... good bit of socialising with them with family and stuff first then other dogs and stock and you should be dead on with that cross if the parents were good grafters..... best of luck witht them ....

telling it how it is  there is a hell of a lot of colour variations in the litters today than 20 yr ago-black,bronze,chocolate the odd brindle would pop up-have bred 2 black dogs together and had all of the above colours and a light fawn and red-where do they come from?the lighter colours come from border/lakie/staff blood imho-if not then the local cur thats got on your bitch and pups passed on and people not told whats really in the mix ;)
