Gaz_1989 9,539
I just wondered what the general thoughts were about people lamping rabbits "out of season" for ferret food and the pot? I stopped lamping at the end of Feb and stopped ferreting in March but my Missus has asked if there are any rabbits in the freezer to do a stew with tomorrow and I've only got 3 in the freezer and I have got a litter of kits due in 2 weeks. I wasn't going to go but it seems silly buying ferret food and meat when I've got 2 good lamping dogs and plenty of permission. I'm hardly going to wipe out the population getting 3-4. Just wondered what people's views were. Cheers Gaz 1 Quote Link to post

Big bald beautiful 1,231
Must be plenty of folks on here do it as pest control, playing fields etc. A few easy rabbits to keep a pup ticking over until a harder winter is better then it sat in kennels? 2 Quote Link to post

I wasn't asking for approval. I stated that I was going lamping tonight. I care not if someone says I shouldn't. I was just asking for general opinions and how "against it" people are.
