after reading an artical in an old countrymans about field trials comp, it got me thinking did anybody use this method pre ban and how effective was it. i dont expect it would be as affective as haveing dogs on slip and walking the fields but it would be enjoyable watching them working the cover them selves.

cheers

it all depends on the land you work alot of land round me its somtimes hard to spot a daytime hare ..even though you know they are there  so for me i need a dog that can work cover either by itself or with the terrier ....mine used to work with the terrier all the time but know works its by himself and does well at it ...its affective and its a bouns if your dog can work cover or then can adjust itself and work of the slip ...meaning you slip it and it comes straight back after the course wether its nailed it or not ....if they are brought on correctly they can do both no bother ,,,
