Hi picked me patterdaale pup up last week and as always havin lurchers the pup seems very aggressive now I no they r bit fiestyer but am quite shocked as its only 6 weeks is this normal cheers to any sensible replys

I'd say a vital part of a pups development is achieved through play with there litter mates . Taking a pup home at five week is too early imho.

I got my black at 6weeks and they all ruff and tumble fella,and as for aggresion fella its normal to a point but i would say that bad habits can develop fast and can be hard to break but you should be able to hold pup pull pup about so to speak and take food off it with no problems if thats where the problem lays then check that sooner rather than later lad

Between 5 and 8 weeks old is when the bitch teaches her pups some manners and how to be a dog.Taking a pup away from its mother at 5 weeks can cause behavioural problems in later life as the pup grows up. Whoever bred her should no better Good luck.

i have a dog here now that was aggressive to the hole family as a pup even the kids we just laughed it off at the time only that i wanted the pup so bad did i let it go but i still think i probably should of buried him he grew out of it and settled down eventally but a lesser bred pup i think I would of been stronger its a dangerous trap what's easy to fall into imo
