fielddweller 1
do you have to use full scuba gear or can you snorkel and where you get the spearguns from? I am pretty sure spear fishing with scuba gear is illegal, not sure about abroad though.Snorkelling is fine and have a look on ebay, plenty of guns on there. Kye 77
Hi Guys,.. I was BIG into this when i lived in Vegas,..we used to hunt for carp and catfish in lake mead...i couldnt get shit at first, but after about four months, and going about three times a week, i was killing at 15 feet deep...my best kill was on a 14lbs catfish, and that was at 23 foot deep...it can hurt your ears like mad though!..lol. You have to be careful for SWB (shallow water blackouts)...this can happen when you are up and down, up and down too quick, and not spending enough time at the surface breathing steadily...i would personaly not go unless diving with a friend, its not worth the risk... We used the 'james bond' style spear guns, with the rubbers bands, my buddy had a gas powered one as well, but i liked using the 'trident' style spear the best...more natural...i would recomend it to anyone! speardafish 0
'I BELIEVE' it is the same law that applies to airguns now (however absurd it may sound)....shops/distributors cannot sell you a mail order gun but private sale are fine!! so if some who is not a business wants to send u one thats fine!!
