Tomsk 2
Ive been helping to start up an airgun range by me offered my time etc to the cause as theres nothing close around here like that within an hours drive. After a few emails i was asked if i would like to join the main shooting club. Most places around here seem to have a large waiting list so im pretty excited to get down there and get some shooting tips and hands on tuition on some propper guns

walshie 2,804
Go for it. I like to sit at my club some evenings and let off 50 or 100 rounds of .22. Very relaxing.

Tomsk 2
Nice one mate hope you enjoy I had to leave my own rifle club...not enough time for it so what happens to your FAC if you leave your club? Or do you shoot a lot else where?
Nik_B 3,790
Even though I shot there for 3 years I never bothered applying for my FACI could use the club guns and I also had a kind of love/hate relationship with the shooting I was doing. Basically the shooting they did there was mostly competition prone target shooting using a jacket and strap and shooting through aperture sites. While the shooting was fun enough I got suckered in to joining the comps which really took the fun out of it...getting annoyed with yourself for dropping a shot isn't my idea of fun and is exactly why I steer well clear at my clay ground when they ask me to join competitions. Also I used to work away so sometimes I would come home and find I had to shoot like 4 or 5 cards in one night, 50 rounds prone with a strap is way way too much to be shooting. I'm not sure what would have happened if I'd had my FAC though, to be on the safe side I'd probably have checked with the FAO.
