NEWKID 27,159
One of my constant fears for the kids is choking, my wife says I'm obsessional about it.. I hate those hard lollies on sticks, heard of them coming off the stick and lodging in a kids throat.. My brother as a kid was choking on bacon and my dad rammed his fingers down his throat and pulled it out, the same happened to my brothers daughter ( fcking bacon again lol) 25 years later and my brothers fingers are down his daughters throat pulling the bloody stuff out..... My kids will be on a liquidised diet until they're 18 lol...

RubyTex 1,957
I've done nowt 'heroic' as such...only thing i can think of is one time when we were in Turkey on one of those 'booze cruises'. There was a commotion on the top deck followed by a massive splash, so running to the edge to see what happened there was a man in the water motionless. So it was every man in to refloat him and drag him back on the boat. He was a real hefty f****r an all, at least 20+ stone and a real pain in the arse to try and swim back to the boat. We managed it though. Turned out the poor fecker had gone to run and jump off, collapsed with a suspected heart attack on his way, smacked his head off the side and belly flopped into the water. My mum gave him first aid and he was carted off to hospital when we got back to port, but i never knew how it ended up with him. His massive belly must have knacked after that flop

R.A.W 1,987
I once saved a women and a yorkshire terrier from a house fire. i was in work one day an could a load of smoke coming from the house opposite the road i dropped down off the scaffold to investigate and as i got close i could to hear a woman coughing so i went around the back to a woman on all four coughing her gutts up ( not a pretty sight). i managed to get some sense out of her .i was told the dog was still in the house so i went in for a look. don't get me wrong i couldn't see any flames but the smoke was pretty dense i just stayed low and found the pooch pretty quick in the living room being a yorky i was lucky the forker didn't take my arm off but i think he new the score. I later found out that the woman had left the dinner in the oven a bit too long. The next morning i was welcomed by a cup of tea and a crate of cans and the a nasty as fork yorky lol needless to say the tea kept flowing untill the end of the job . result .
