well couldnt sleep this morning so grabbed my old 177 springer and went up the golf course for a hour end result 2 woodys in the bag first shot 25 yards head shot,second shot 40 yards again head shot well impressed with this old gun its 25 years old a spanish gun and shaun on her put a new spring in it 3 weeks ago its doing 11.5 with biz mags,you dont need the top rifles to take game,ive left my 97k22 at home a good few times and opted for this gun

Thats how it used to be years ago, springers being the only option. my first was a bsa meteor, took rabbits, pigeon and so on, out to 35yrds plus with ease, you never worried about vibration and so on, the main thing to know was, was it accurate.

Of coarse today its all centred on accuracy, which is a good thing, and quality.

you got that right mate my first gun as a nine year old was a relum with a big chunk of wood on it i loved that old gun my mother got me it out of kays catalogue they were the days a bottle of water few sweets and a hand full of pellets and you were away for the day

I too started early, I was eight when i got a pistol from my big brother, A webley senior, Had to wait till i was eleven before dad got me a bsa rifle. I was so chuffed, never looked back, then i had the 35 and things really changed after that, quality wise. Seems my whole life has had airguns in it lol

its funny when we were kids how big these guns were to handle for uss,im surprised any of uss shot anything mind you i got a good few woodys and a couple of bunnys,once i got the bug i wanted a gun all the time
