Hard to say if Kenneling stress would have caused this, or it would happen anyway, my Whippet had the same but as well as watery it was black, had him to the vet, it was a gut infection, three day course of tablets, cant remember what they were, probably antibiotic. cured it. was told to feed light for a few days, Chicken and rice.

Once cured if Vet asks for stool sample to send to be analysed, dont do it, it only tells you the type of infection and they will charge you £40.

all depends if the pro`s out weigh the cons, personally ive got a bitch in home and 2 dogs in kennels. if hes no trouble in home at night then have him in, however my biggest reason for kenneling is it stops the Mrs moaning about shit up wet smelly dogs being in the house all winter

Would you persist on having him out side then! Just always looks down in dumps n now this sounds abit daft but don't like to see dogs like this!

So why did you decide to put him outside? Was he causing problems in the house? You're probably right when you say he's looking down in the dumps: if the dog has always lived inside then he's feeling excluded by the pack: you/your family. Plus, if he's the only dog you have, he's obviously been used to company of people. If you have other dogs, even more reason for him to feel down. Dog do adapt, so its up to you.

If he's only been out one night then either he is a very sensitive dog and it is stress causing the shits, or he's picked up a little bug, which is more likely.

i agree ,..........when i was having carers around the house ,..........the house pet whippet had top be kenneled ,.........he didnt like it and would whine and just stand at the gate for hours looking sad.....lol

now he loves it and would sooner be in there than the house................dont give in they will get use to it.........
