Summer hunting........when average dogs,become legends....lol...

It's just amazing how many 'pest controllers' are on here . . . . when the summer comes around

its 1 thing getting called out for a nuisance fox and cubs or an over populated rabbit problem, but I don't agree with killing stuff this time of year for the hell of it,coz its the same folk that com

Its a known Fact that Rabbits are at it all year round there is no season for rabbits. All the rest are illegal to course anyway so therefore what season?.....

No need to have the dig at the (YOUNGER SPORTSMEN) either whats to say its just the younger generation. In fact when i go out down here im more likely to see Lurchermen than Lurcherboys!!!!!

Encourage the up and coming or the sport will die!

Some young lads need no encouragement they are keen as mustard they just go about the wrong way... Some older fellas are the same tho if they never learn the right way, they will always do it the wrong way..

The sport wont die it will just get worst

i wonder why the go around it the wrong way?

Who is going to give Permission to a lad between the age of 16-21? No one!

I'm lucky knowing farmers through the family but most of the lads round here will never get permission to course anywhere and the same for anywhere else unless passed through the family.

People's perception of a youngster (not helped by the media mind) but Hey Ho that's the way it crumbles.

its not the way it crumbles at all. Im 20 years old and have permission on a number of farms around my way to keep my busy all year round. You dont have to be old to be sensible and respected.

Its the blind leading the blind..

I have met some real gents and they have gone out of there way to help me.. however I am no fecking numpty...

I would never take some young chavey youth on to hard earnd permission for them to f**k it up and tell everyman and his dog..

I cant tarr everyone in the same bracket, young and old there are plonkers about...

Its some people attitude and morals, If i would not want them sat in my living room having a brew. I would deffo not go sneaking about in the dark with them.

Round my way the first word is F**k OFF from the farmers to any youngsters looking for permission, Its as simple as that. TBH you can not blame them in some respects the minority get the majority tarred with the same brush thats society for you.

Im only 22, id like to think i was well spoken and respected but i've not been give an acre of permission when asked, like i said i know a couple of farmers through family so have enough just to keep me occupied as i only have the one dog!

Their are so many poachers in Dorset permission is not worth shit. Don't get me wrong i've (strayed) onto a few fields i shouldn't have who hasn't but been respectable at the same time with gates fences etc etc. At the end of the day i just want to see my dog run no sport compares to watching your dog catch the adrenaline is indescribable.

It's just amazing how many 'pest controllers' are on here . . . . when the summer comes around

If that's directed at me ,I've given my reasons for shooting rabbits during the summer.

I don't hunt with the my dogs during this time of year ,and wont start again until late Sept / October.

No mate, not directed at you (don't be so paranoid!). There are some folk on here who are either professional pest controllers or get pest control jobs that come in over summer.

What I was referring to was the guys who go out and ferret 3 bunnys or shoot 1 hare with an air gun in a week and claim that they were doing much needed pest control on a farm.

It just seems that when the summer comes around., . . . . we suddenly are awash with pest controllers and folk bringing on young dogs

My next door neighbour is the son of a very wealthy land owning farmer with access to thousands of rabbits and permission to hunt shoot etc etc on every other pice of farm land in his whole area...amounting to thousands and thousands of acres..he goes out at night with his pickup and shoots 40,s-50s regulary with his brothers.

You can obviously guess what i asked him the 1st time i met him. . .? And since that point in time I have stopped his house from being burgled and ransacked etc etc by the local smack heads on numerous occasions up until he finally moved in to the house. . . FFsake i have confronted bat weilding smelly bag heeeds over the fence on many nights. . the police were regular visitors after his central heating system and electrics were installed. . He finally moved in after over a year of us living next door to an unocupied house (which as you might now these days is a magnet to all scum and sundry ).

I even printed out a permission slip for him to get signed for me.

Im sure you can all guess the rest..

Theres nowt a strange as folk.
