smithie 2,443 Posted May 14, 2013 Report Share Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) i think it will be ok but the ends off the belt sticking through the back will snag for sure and that will become a problem once it is dark.. sure the next one will be better and better again if you learn to trad net for when you fence hop.. BORDERSCOT 3,816 Posted May 16, 2013 Report Share Posted May 16, 2013 i work full time.... do this inbetween working, walking the dogs, family etc.... like i said before..... ive never even seen a longnet nevermind used one. im doing all this off my noggin. everybody starts somewhere Tell you what mate credit to you...you seem to be quite ingenious and handy with things...is this borne out of curiosity and and in built creative side or are you just a bored miserable b*****d who hates buying anything... Joe thought up the idea, as they cost next to nothing to make. and they do work. I have three of his stainless baskets large, medium, and small, which cover all my needs. I tried running nets out the bucket in a playing field, and as i said, it worked well. tried it once running four 5 yarders in a wood, and again nets ran out fine.
