marshman 7,757
I'm bored so a theoretical question for ya. Right you've got two bitches from the same litter that are bred from worker to worker, but one of the bitches is useless and the other bitch is mustard . So you breed both bitches to the same dog(before anyone says why would you breed a bitch that is useless remember its a theoretical question lol ) so my question is what one do you think will produce the most workers considering that the pups will share almost the same DNA ? Zerky 133
Flip a coin, lol. The two people that I know that could answer this the best, one of them comes on here every now and again (and im pretty sure he can read or write, lol) and the other has left the THL for good. In my mind I would like one out of the good bitch, but if the bitches are from a long line of good dogs all sharing the same blood..... well who knows? lol. 1 Quote Link to post

shaaark 10,746
Pot luck, the amount of not so good pups out of every litter, no matter how good the parents, is, to my mind, enough proof that worker to worker has no real advantage over litters that aren't bred from worker to worker. Hare coursing whippet champions have been bred from dogs that have never seen a hare in their lives, and racing greyhounds and horses follow a similar patern. As long as they've got the right bloodline they'll be bred from. And in all livestock breeding, breed enough and you'll get some good ones. Edited to add, I just realised I'm in the terrier section! lol, but you get my drift Edited May 13, 2013 by shaaark Quote Link to post

marshman 7,757
@Hot meat . Yer the best workers don't always produce, but would you have one that was useless say thrown in the towel in a good few occasions ? Quote Link to post
Hot Meat 3,109
I don't knw about a jacker quitter mate but I had a black terrier a few years ago bred out a bitch that was far from the bestvin her litter just your average terrier failed to bottle up and find a few times but she was the only bitch in her litter ( there was five bitches altogether) t ever throw any pups that mate the grade they only ever turned out average aswell but they done us. The bitches sisters were far better at there jobs but gave us nothing in way of pups to dig to 1 Quote Link to post
