Problem With One Of My Patt Dogs

at the end of the season my patt dog 2 year old saw the end of a dig when a friends dog jacked not long after i that he started itching alot took him to vets just incase he had mange or fox mites vet said neither and that dog had dry skin so they gave me some shampoo for the dogs skin got better but started again two weeks ago, a friend recommended camrosa ointment so ordered that but no different a has started loosing a little hair in places not alot mined. what do you lads use if your dog has similar problems ? regards b

I had simlar problem last month small hair loss i thought mite or mange but it turned out not to be after a 80 euro vet test and useless treatment i asked a freind he said change her food i did she stoped itching and the hair has grown back give it a try minght save u some money

he sleeps in at the moment we had a flood with land slide took kennels with it but we were on hol at time so dogs were with us thank god i thought it may have been food they were on james wellbeloved now they are on skinners but no change fortunately my other 4 dogs no problem with skin and granted the only thing the vet thought would sort it hasnt so im a bit stuck really thanks for the replies atb b

Have you central heating on in the house, what is his bedding? .so the vet doesnt basically know whats wrong with the dog,, second opinion maybe with another vet. I wonder was there any chemicals in the floods that have burnt the dog.

bedding is just a plastic bed from pet shop dog dont like material throws it out if you put towel in and no chemicals just a hillside at the back we also asked the other vet at our practice but she said similar thing perhaps its worth some tests but you know vets top dollar job tests

maybe the dog is stressed with you going on hols/being in strange kennel/with its run washing away? ask your vet to test if the dog is allergic to fleas?wife had english bull x that had allergy to them-we went down food/change of surroundings path :thumbs: hope you find the answer-try different vet also :yes:

had the same problem not to long ago. it turned out that it was from giving the dog bits off food from my bait box at work. i didunt think this would be the case but a month on shes on dry dog food only .no scraps. an shes 100% better.
