Astral 253
I'm 26 and damn sure theres a difference between the "summers" we have now and the summers I remember being off school for, weeks and weeks of sunshine now we are lucky to get three days in a row!. Plus I feel Spring is being pushed forward, and the seasons in general are losing their distinctions, rather now one long dreary rainy season for the UK.
Malt 379
I reckon the seasons are definitely shifting.. Think winter is starting later and finishing later. Some places on the planet don't have the traditional 4 seasons like we get here, they get just a wet and dry season or a cold and hot one, maybe ours is going to end up like that. Wullz 408
Malt, thats what its been like for years up here....dreich! I got caught in a sleet shower this morning, after I had walked the dogs in sunshine? And my mate came in from a walk at lunchtime and told me there were hailstones....weather has gone a bit barmy. They did tell us that we would get longer wetter spells and more mixed up stormy weather, looks like it coming true..... I dont mind, its just this cold wind that is killing us just now, hate it!!! paulus 26
After a bit of research the other month, It would appear that due to artic ice sheets melting and the salinity of the water changing the gulfstream has shifted south along with the jet stream, bringing cold winters and wet summers. The Antarctic is getting colder so it would seem we are in a period of climate shift

Said it was responsible for the jet stream being pushed further south and increasing the cloud cover.

If the jet stream is pushed south then, it drags cold weather and wet weather from the south and east and just keeps recycling the same weather patens round and round. The things I read could not say for how long this would occur or how far south it will travel

NEWKID 27,264
For the last few years Oct and Nov have been the best couple of months for us, in the roofing game you couldn't wait for summer to come now you can't wait until "Autumn"
