Mawders 595
If the pellet is the most accurate in the barrel that's got to be the best. All three pellets you listed are cracking spread wise but 5 fps spread is truly fantastic results! Quote Link to post
sparkycrew 22
I think this one hole group of 8-12 shots at 25m was with AA field 4.51,so iam pretty happy to run with this pellet and ive just started wearing glasses today so now i can see i'll work on shrinking the group size LOL, Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
I know when I had my pro sport it loved the AA fields but I only tried 4,52 size. Others told me to try and get hold of some 4,51 as they were meant to be good. Cracking group at that range mate! Phil Quote Link to post
sparkycrew 22
Cheers phil, iam going to run with the AA field @ 4.51, iam target shooting only so iam interested in getting the group as tight as possible, downloaded chairgun pro which is proving quiet valuable,my problem is i watch Si pittaway (ZINI) do one hole groups at 25m and i think i should be doing the same, ive got a long way to go regards nick Quote Link to post

I have only been shooting spring rifles for a short period and now prefer them to a PCP. Stick with it and don’t despair, with lots of practice and a good rifle like your Prosport, you too will improve to a point that you wouldn’t have thought possible. I talk from experience, as my grouping has tightened up considerably by following the basic techniques required for accurate springer shooting. Regards, Steve Quote Link to post
sparkycrew 22
steve your bang on mate,i was going to buy a pcp and still am for my lad to use,but i like the fact a spring rifle is more challenging,i can get easily bored if something is two easy, having said that there will be days when the prosport will frustrate me,of cause it will be my own doing, the prosport is soooooooo consistent, did i mention an extreme spread of only 5.1 fps over 10 shots were going to chrony my mates daystate huntsman classic this week,he will be gutted if his spread is higher than mine regards nick Quote Link to post
sparkycrew 22
thats a fine looking group, been out this afternoon wind was an issue again, had to re zero seems to shift a little only a couple of clicks though, reasonable groups at 25m pushed out to 40 metres, worked out my mil dot drop which chairgun was correct with and grouped 5 shots 3 under 3/4 of an inch and two flyers, knocked some 30-40 mm bottle tops about ok but my new HFT rabbit seemed elussive at 40 metres, got it maybe six times, but the miss rate was to high, seems a differant shape target poses new challenges just started wearing glasses today, can see really well now but struggling with getting comepfy on the stock comb arrrggghhh regards nick Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Timmy has to be the mac daddy of pro sport shooters, did you see some of the bags he was getting in my pro sport thread? That group above was very similar to what I was getting with mine but at 30 yards as my indoor range doesn't go to 35 and to be fair it took pure concentration to get a group like that at 30 yards! The prosport will remind you of who's boss though if you don't hold her consistently when group shooting as I found. Phil Quote Link to post
