I am not a builder, just a brickie so my opinion is based on some experience. I would say that you have subsidence in the foundations. Sorry.   TC

Put some gaffer tape on it , won't make it any safer but you won't see the crack anymore.

You'l have to get a structural engineer to have a look 18 inches of found is sufficient but it depends on the ground it's laid on . You'l have to repin it dig down to the hard and take out sections of the old found and put in a metre of concrete and do that every meter bit of a c**t .

any downpipes leaking near corner of building?what ground do u have thier,clay,chalk,sand etc? look to me like footings have dropped.a crack will find the weakest point just like yours by window reveal.it may close up if on clay in winter as the ground swells,but i guess up u way its not clay. get structural engineer ,dig down to footings to see whats going on.and shoot who ever repointed it.....shocking workmanship. and as allready stated its cracked before as hes pointed over the crack on the perp.any cracks on gable end elevation?
