Groverdog 0
Probably hormanal. Partner picked me up from work and started to drive home. Live down a 6mile single track road. T*at in front doing 20/25 miles an hour for 2 miles. Partner flashed lights to get him to pull into passing place and let us by (safely do 40/45 if you know the road) T*at slammed on brakes got out and started hurling abuse. Partner explained it was common courtisy to pull over for cars behind on rural roads if they wanted past. T*at told us to f*uk off. Got back in motor and drove the rest of the way going even slower. Partner got out at end if road and tried to explain to guy it was in The Highway Code blah blah. Guy got abusive again. I then explained i could have been a vet/midwife etc etc and T*ats wife said 'So f*cking what' That mad i called the police and they said that although its not the law to pull over in was as we'd stated corteus. Was going to phone the guy (i'd taken registration) to explain. Not a crisis in the scheme of things but havent been that angry for a while

ferret15 0
although it is infuriating try to take a deep breath and let it go. it happens to me every day old men and women who cant see past the end of their bonnet and have never leaned their right from left ! if i got as wound up as you just did every time it happened to me i would of hurt someone by now. let it go try to see the funny side, just the other day i meet an old man coming the wrong way round a roundabout (its a huge one and i think he mistook it for a t junction ) he was shaking his fists at me a shouting what looked like get f*****g over !! he nearly ran me of the road it was scary and made me relay angry but i have got to admit the look on his face when he came round the corner heading straight for us was a f*****g picture

Groverdog 0
It wasnt the fact they didnt move over that got me it was the comment about not giving a f*ck if i was a vet or midwife etc. Hope one day they dont have an emergency and someone stops them getting to someone/somewhere quickly. Like you ferret15 we get it every day just this i snapped and i am afraid i did lose my temper. Also stopped people recently in a car who were chucking rubbish (including glass bottles) out of the window. Told them that bottles can cause fires but they just shrugged. Time to get the Kalms out me thinks!!!

MR TEA POT 1,287
I drive for a living and the things i see on the roads, makes me wonder how people passed the tests. One day i was driving just gone round a roundabout to contiune on the deul carrigeway i was on,there was a HGV in the left hand lane so i decide to go round,i just got round the loory when i looked up and there in the lane was a car that had stopped,so i hit the brakes, shut my eyes and sh1t my pants i stopped yds away from the car,i got out shaken like a leaf and went upto the other driver and asked why he had stopped.............And his answer he had took the wrong turn off the round about and WAS looking at his map to see if he could still get this way to where ever he was going :icon_eek:.The next few mins where a blur as i just let him have with both barrels . gnasher16 30,217
Am i right in thinking somebody could have passed their driving test aged 40 in 1980....then not driven a car for the next 27 years....then legally get in a car and drive it today aged 67 ?..or 50 and 77.....60 and 87 etc etc ? cant be right that

Guest The Shaman
The roads are full of people who think they are not doing any wrong or are just being sooooooooooo careful. Yesterday we had a family day out, went to Whitby. Anybody who knows the area the A171 moors road is a bitch, its single carriageway all the way, 50 mph speed limit, lots of bends, blind spots, hills and sheep etc, motorcyclist die on it in frightening numbers. Anyway the wife was driving, she's not a foot to the floor type and is generally a good driver. But the muppet in front did our heads in no end. It was a woman (not having a dig, just stating a fact), the speed limit was 50, she did manage to get to 45 once or twice, but mostly it was 35, she braked at every bend, every crest of a hill, before every junction and sometimes it seemed because she liked to slow down for no apparent reason. So theres this long line of traffic, all speeding up (if 45 mph is really speeding up) then slowing down, its red hot, the roads about 20 miles long and this numpty never thinks to pull over, shit she probably never even looked in the rear view mirror, and if she did she wouldn't have fathomed out that the reason the road ahead was clear of traffic, but there was a tailback 3 miles long behind her was her fault didn't occur to her. If the driver of the silver people carrier, with roof box, OAP passenger, is reading this, ask the OAP to drive next time
