sandymere 8,263
LOL the comment re trainers was in relation to trainers and your comment " A lot of greyhound trainers bile a dog out before a race." not the vets. He would seem to agree with me "it is most often performed by trainers unnecessarily" ( Goble, G ). In truth even if done only occasionally it's unlikely to have any real effect if you look at the basic anatomy. Edited May 21, 2013 by sandymere

If IM being 100% honest most of these conditions(and I use that term loosely) are used to mask a dog that's run not as fit as it should be its interesting stuff though and does get people thinking
LaraCroft 863
Very true - I read that a few times, and still couldn't get it to sit right in my head, but there is enough truth and evidence in *some* of what is there, to make it sound like it would work. I tend to work on the basis that if it doesn't happen in nature, and the animal seems to cope... then it probably isn't needed.
beast 1,884
you're right paulus, even if these discussions just get a few people thinking and talking maybe we can share a bit of knowledge and learn a bit. interesting stuff and a little bit scientific for me in places, but personally i cant see past the idea that vomiting will affect stomach contents and not too much else......
