A Bloody Good Day At Work

being a joiner i get too meet some interesting folks today we got sent to an old guys house to fit a front door not a big job but its a friday and i like an early finish on fridays , anyway got chatting to the old guy ( mick ) about motorbikes as i spotter he had an old british bike in his garage after a while we got onto are other hobbys and started talking about air guns , he said he had bought one a few years ago but couldnt hit bugger all with it so thew it in the back of his shed . we finnished the job and before we left the loon got a 4 pack of miller and he wandered to his shed as i was getting the rifle , now last time i got given a a air rifle i was full of excitement till i was handed a relum telly , this time i was alot happierDSCF0892_zps3d614b81.jpg

its a bloody tx woohoo

 

not in the best shape and kicking like a mule , got home about 11am and put it threw my chrono . 14.5 super domes at 745 feet per second , putting it bluntly i shat myself , 17.87 flb , its now stripped the spring chopped and running at a happy 10.7 flb as you can see i had to take heeps off the springDSCF0899_zps28927510.jpgDSCF0896_zps55497558.jpg

 

its all , the stock is a bloody mess so its gonna need stripping and sanding but i have got the action looking betterDSCF0897_zps35f03505.jpg

... this is it for now stock will have to wait just need to get it zeroed and bring on the bunnys ,

Or leave it as it is, and you've a top quality, accurate as hell all weather gun that you can shoot in any conditions and cos it was a freebie it won't break your heart!

 

Maybe thats why no one gives me rifles lol

well its all stripped and back together and putting out 10.9 flb with aa diablo fields

been out for a shoot with it and i bloody hate it .

 

just doesnt sit write with me i prefer nose heavy guns this is not for me bugger

looks spot on mate....

 

In future if you want to remove the satin etc from the chequering without harming it, use Nitromors on it, agitate with a toothbrush, then for the final bits use and iron and a cloth and steam it out ;)
