brucemyster 75
Not very experienced shooter myself but when I need to zero my scope I strap my HW77 to something solid that won't move, take a couple of shots to make sure it's not moving and the pellets are all going in the same place, if like me your not into sorting your pellets then you get the odd flyer, once your happy with that then adjust the scope to suit. Distance is about 40 foot, once your used to your rifle and the pellet trajectory you'll know when to aim that bit higher or hold under. That's my ten penneth worth for what it's worth, I sure others will say i'm talking crap and it's different for springers and pcp's but that's how I do it and it works for me I think you would get much better results if you didnt fix the rifle down mate. seriously needs to be able to recoil freely for accuracy. Must be my luck then because what I aim at I hit, when my son uses it same result, does not matter which position i'm in, was up an oak tree last week taking out bunnies, hit the spot every time, If recoiling is required when zeroing my method must inadvertently be allowing said recoil? Can't say I'm up on the laws of physics, left or right spring twist, haven't even seen the spring in my rifle! and as I say not as experienced as many a shooter, but I must be doing something right as not hitting jack shit is not something I suffer from. I also play golf using a baseball style grip and not a golfing grip(oh the shame of it) like shooting i'm self taught and used to regularly out drive, out putt and outplay many a more experienced golfer, just goes to show there's always an exception to the rule Quote Link to post

brucemyster 75
Not quite happy Gilmore but still managed to piss plenty of the golfing fraternity off with my unorthodox grip, the fact that I managed to get a £600 set of clubs for £50 off Ebay, brand new and unused, and that I only played once in a blue moon and still beat em!! you gotta love it. ps can't quite get the hang of using a shotgun yet and may have to yield and have a few lessons.
