Madcowz 0
Hi, I know that nothing containing phenol is safe for ferts and the above two products are sold as safe for small animals and don't appear to contain phenol, but can anyone say for certain? If not safe, what do you guys use? I'm not keen on buying expensive stuff from rubbish pet shops. thanks, /mad Quote Link to post

Madcowz 0
how are the babies settling in hedz, got any pics? Really well mate. Where it was nice and quiet in there, it is now madcap mayhem with 4 ferts leaping and diving and playing. Really spiced it up. Will get some pics tonight hopefully. /Mad Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
Oh i forgot to say i have used Virkon in a powder form you make it up yourself with water in a spray bottle, have a look online it may be more cost effective than this pre diluted stuff in spray bottles, i think you can buy small packets as i have done & larger tubs of the stuff, check it out I seem to recall a spray bottle full dont last to long so buying pre diluted may be expencive Quote Link to post
highlander 0
Yes Madcowz Vircon is a cracking disinfectant but expensive it kills every thing I used to use it all the time when I was rearing pheasants used to wash the kennels and the ferrets cadges with it all the time. One of my bosses used to put a little drop in the peasants water never did them any harm. Regards highlander. Quote Link to post
Madcowz 0
Thanks for the replies. I think my neighbour can get some from the farm, that is if they have any left after recent events. /Mad Quote Link to post
ferret15 0
mad hope you can get hold of some there seems to be a nation wide shortage at the mo we have been trying to get it in at work for a week cannot get any delivery's till next Wednesday this is partly because being in the exclusion zone we can not have any delivery's or deliver anything until next week at least we are allowed to be open as long as we have disinfectant in the drive and entrances this may not be the case where you are as you ar not in the zone Quote Link to post
