Legality has nothing to do with morals, or personal ethics. I would not run hares between second week in March, and middle of September, in actual fact i dont think I've ever run them before October

First off, this isn't a dig, it's a question. And obviously talking of pre-ban / Ireland.   I hear a lot of lads saying that when bringing on their coursing pups, they tried/ try to give them a few

That old chestnut "....because other lads will get there first if I don't..." doesn't equal 'respect for quarry'. To me, if you have morals then you have morals. If you don't have morals you pursue

When lurchers used to catch hares for the pot or to put a few quid on the table didnt know what month it was so what does it matter.as my oul fella used to say the bacon n eggs wont fly threwt

Yeah, the good old days, out at daybreak with your bow,and a quiver full of arrows, poaching the King's deer to feed a starving family. :whistling:

That's fine if yer hunting for food but the majority of people hunt now a day for sport so why all the double up and number crunching again not at yerself just a general comment. In spite of what people might say very rare for me to double up I did like everyone else until yea know better .Simple thing is people are driving 100s of miles for a good hunt so why not do yer best to try and do it right .
