stewie 3,387
Glad the old twats finally gone. hopefully all the arse kissing and bullshit about what a great manager he was doesnt last too long. you wont be missed by many. all them trophies are just bullshit eh?? I'm gutted! Massive shame he's going but he should go out there and enjoy retirement with his head held high. I've heard people saying United will now drop away from the title race absolutely no chance, if we get Moyes in (prefer him over Mourinho) and a world class attacking mid, the title is sewn up again for another year the guy was and is an arse hole, only coming out to play when united have won. If there was a bad performance from the team, he felt he was above answering questions as to why. first class nobber you lad watch a lot of football do ya i think not Opposing fans are hardly going to like him are they mate. Know one can doubt he was a very talented manager, an eye for a great player and obviously a great man manager. But he did act like a fanny sometimes, was huffy and he did get away with alot of stuff he has said when others might not have? Anyway he favours Rangers over Celtic so f**k him.... when a manager as won as much as him he can do as he pleases i bet you wish he was at your shithole one league team you lot come and play in the PL you would be another wigan No wonder Baw calls you 'prick'.... .....When we do come down to the EPL and Moyes takes on the hoops managers role you better start worrying..... dont you mean stepping up massively to............. Malt 379
Can't figure the choice of Moyes myself, fair enough he has kept Everton ticking over but football,is about winning things and to me, if Moyes had the hunger and ambition to win stuff he would have gone somewhere and tried to do it long before now not just marked time at a club that's going to win nothing every year Strange choice IMHO Theres not much choice going from Everton though Wilf, it's a stable club, comfortably mid table on a shoestring budget. Look at Mark Hughes, there's a hungry manager who is half decent. Changing club seeking bigger things ain't done much good for his career in recent years.. Suppose we'll find out as much about Moyes by seeing what happens at Everton next as what happens at United if they do go for Moyes.. Who next for Everton then if Moyes does go lads, maybe Mark Hughes?

Honestly mate, I will be very surprised if it is Moyes......IMHO the poor sod will be on a hiding to nothing, he is a football Pygmy walking in to take over a football giant?......can't see that I think if the board feel they can nail down JM for longer than two seasons then they will go for him if he will come......the only thing against him in my mind is his short term attitude so far to clubs.......if you could get him to settle and stay for the long haul then he would be your man JMHO mate

In Moyes they have a youngish man who will be seen as more able to be moulded into the United way of doing things with Fergie watching his back from on high for the next couple of years. Mourinho is a fantastic manager, but some of the statements coming out of old Trafford about 'hired guns' and 'long term' ain't the sort of thing you'd associate with him. Being manager of United ain't like being manager of most other clubs, there are no directors of football etc, the manager is the main man, and while not doing it on the scale of things at OT, I think the set up around Moyes at Everton is very similar. I just hope if he does get he job the fans get behind him, a big ask when you see what's happened at other clubs in recent years, AVB getting booed and chanted at after a few games at Spurs is one example I can think of.. WILF 46,603
Bottom line is, Moyes has achieved precisely nothing in 11 years and JM has won the biggest and is always there or there abouts......it's gonna be interesting
