Sad day for football. The witnessing of a true great ending his legacy.

Coming from a life long Liverpool fan I'd like to wish Fergie all the best, one game from the sack all them years ago and now retiring after all that success, don't think we'll see the likes of him a

Thatcher dead and Fergie retires, somewhere there's a scouser holding a lamp with one wish left!

IMHO the only manager in the world at the moment who could come in and be his own man is JM, any other man and it would be all " what would Alex have done" every single game

I love Harry, but he does come out with a load of old bollocks half the time.......Harry is a good manager but I don't reckon that jobs for him

Football is about what you win and Harry ain't done nearly enough to qualify him for that job, so as I say, I don't know what that makes Moyes ?

Not In Your Life Time Mate . . In Fact Id Go As Far As Saying Never Again Will Anybody Manage A Club For Half The Time Ferguson Has Been At United , As Todays Game Has Changed For The Worse As Far As Managers Having Time !!

Can't figure the choice of Moyes myself, fair enough he has kept Everton ticking over but football,is about winning things and to me, if Moyes had the hunger and ambition to win stuff he would have gone somewhere and tried to do it long before now not just marked time at a club that's going to win nothing every year

Strange choice IMHO

Theres not much choice going from Everton though Wilf, it's a stable club, comfortably mid table on a shoestring budget. Look at Mark Hughes, there's a hungry manager who is half decent. Changing club seeking bigger things ain't done much good for his career in recent years.. Suppose we'll find out as much about Moyes by seeing what happens at Everton next as what happens at United if they do go for Moyes..

Who next for Everton then if Moyes does go lads, maybe Mark Hughes? :hmm:

Honestly mate, I will be very surprised if it is Moyes......IMHO the poor sod will be on a hiding to nothing, he is a football Pygmy walking in to take over a football giant?......can't see that

I think if the board feel they can nail down JM for longer than two seasons then they will go for him if he will come......the only thing against him in my mind is his short term attitude so far to clubs.......if you could get him to settle and stay for the long haul then he would be your man

JMHO mate

a pygmy are you forgetting where fergie came from Aberdeen are hardly a team that come to mind

when you talk about football greats. as i said earlier in the thread i could never see jose being asked

it would cost to much he likes to splash the cash the glazers don't, fergie will have had a say in it

he knows moyse well.i'm not a utd fan but the bookies have at 1to 20 on & they don't usually get

it that wrong, just hope he gets a fair crack of the whip.as for everton it doesn't look good, can see

a few leaving falanie a cert to follow moysey me thinks

Its easy being a good manager when you have money to spend, what moyes has done on a shoestring budget is kept everton on the top half of the table, he gets my respect for that and loyalty.

till a big club came in............ :D:whistling:

anyway so first Margaret Thatcher dies, and now Sir Alex Ferguson retires?! I'm guessing that somewhere in Liverpool there's a scouser with a magic lamp in his hand and one wish left.................. :toast: :toast:
